Biography
Murièle Gadaut was born in France in 1969. She studied Law in Lyon (France) and Barcelona (Spain), International Business in Santiago de Chile, and then Marketing & Communications in Paris. She worked for several years in Latin America as an international event planner and as a Commercial and Trading Officer in the private and public sectors.
Before becoming a professional genealogist, she had been working for 8 years as a Public Relations and Communications Director in engineering and business schools in Paris. During that time, she also was an active member of the European Universities Public Relations and Informations Officers (Euprio).
She is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
Murièle opened her professional genealogy practice in 2012 near Paris. Very dedicated and passionate about her job, her core business is to look for ancestors’ history in France and Spain. She also offers heritage tours in both countries and undertakes heirs research as a subcontractor.

In 2013, she became an active member of the Chambre des Généalogistes Professionnels (CGP) in charge of marketing and web communication. She has been serving as one of the Vice-Presidents of this organization for 5 years, she is very much involved in promoting her profession together with other actors in France and abroad. Murièle is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG).

With her colleagues from Genealogistes de France, she held a stand at THE Genealogy Show in Birmingham in June 2019. She participated as a speaker at RootsTech London in 2019 and at the 10th RootsTech edition in Salt Lake City in March 2020. She took part of the first virtual genealogical event in France held in June 2020 with a presentation on research in Spain. Murièle also participated in ExpoGenealogia 2020 presenting in Spanish the main French online genealogical resources.
